Employment and Personnel Policies for faculty are governed by MTSU policies and administered by the Office of the University Provost and Division of Business and Finance’s Human Resource Services. Part-time/Adjunct Faculty Employment Policies
MTSU Policy #202 defines part-time adjunct faculty as “professional staff members of businesses, industries and other agencies and organizations who are appointed on a part-time basis to carry out teaching, research, or service functions.” Hiring part-time adjunct faculty requires compliance with Policy 801 Personnel Transactions. The following policies and processes govern hiring part-time or adjunct faculty.
